FERRIBIELLA Erba Gatta Miao Cat Grass Growing Kit
Product Overview
Grow a fresh nibbling option at home with the FERRIBIELLA Erba Gatta Miao Cat Grass Growing Kit. The kit includes seeds and soil for growing cat grass, offering your cat an opportunity to explore and nibble fresh greenery. Offer small amounts alongside a complete, balanced cat diet—not as a meal replacement or a treatment for hairballs, vomiting or other health problems. Follow the actual pack’s growing instructions, and offer the grass only once it reaches approximately 6–8 cm.
Key Features
Seeds and Soil in One Kit
The kit brings together the seeds and growing soil needed to start cat grass at home. Prepare the growing container as directed on the pack; do not assume extra accessories or a refill quantity are included.
Fresh Grass Grown at Home
Grow the grass yourself and check its condition before each use. Fresh, healthy growth gives your cat a small plant-based nibbling option; do not offer mouldy, contaminated or deteriorating grass.
An Opportunity for Natural Exploration
Cat grass can give your cat an opportunity to sniff, investigate and nibble greenery. Interest varies by cat—allow voluntary exploration rather than forcing your cat to eat it.
A Small Addition, Not a Complete Food
Use as an occasional addition alongside nutritionally complete cat food and fresh drinking water. The product is not a complete diet or a medicine, and no hairball-removal, detoxification or laxative benefit is promised.
Simple Growing Routine with a Height Check
The growing directions call for moderate watering about every two days, a cardboard cover for at least five days during germination, and protection from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Readiness depends on healthy grass reaching 6–8 cm, not a guaranteed number of days.
Growing & Use Instructions
- Prepare the seeds, soil and growing container according to the actual pack. Distribute the seeds evenly and cover lightly with soil; confirm the sowing depth on the pack rather than guessing a measurement.
- Water moderately, then repeat about every two days as directed, checking the soil’s moisture between waterings. Avoid leaving it waterlogged or allowing standing water to collect.
- Cover the tray with a cardboard lid for at least five days to help germination, following the pack’s directions. Check moisture and watch for mould during this period; keep the kit out of your cat’s reach while growing.
- Keep the container protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Growing speed varies with conditions; five days of cover does not mean the grass is automatically ready to eat.
- When healthy grass reaches approximately 6–8 cm, remove any cover and offer the container in a stable position for a short, supervised session. Let your cat nibble a small amount voluntarily, then check the grass and container again.
Safety
- For occasional, supervised nibbling only; not a complete food or veterinary treatment. Do not use the grass to deliberately make your cat vomit or to treat a suspected blockage.
- Offer only healthy grown grass. Keep loose seeds, soil, the lid and packaging out of reach, and do not allow your cat to dig out or eat the soil or chew the container.
- Do not add pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers that have not been confirmed suitable for this use around cats. Keep the kit separate from potentially toxic houseplants.
- Do not offer grass that is mouldy, slimy, foul-smelling, pest-infested or contaminated. Remove it from your cat’s reach and discard affected contents.
- Stop offering if your cat coughs, gags, vomits, develops diarrhoea or appears uncomfortable. For repeated vomiting, choking, lethargy, poor appetite or other concerning signs, contact your veterinarian promptly rather than assuming a normal response to grass.
- If your cat has a medical condition or prescribed diet, ask your veterinarian before offering. Keep seeds, soil and packaging away from children and wash your hands after handling.
Growing Care & Storage
- Check moisture and growth daily. Use the pack’s approximate two-day watering schedule as the starting point, with moderate amounts and no standing water; protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Keep the container and surrounding area clean, and remove fallen debris. Continue checking for mould, unpleasant odour, pests or deteriorating growth; discard unsuitable grass rather than offering it.
- Follow the pack’s storage and expiry instructions for unused seeds and soil. Keep unopened supplies dry and out of reach of cats and children; do not assume the kit can be regrown indefinitely.
