GURU Busy Ball Interactive Dog Toy (Medium/Large)
Product Overview
Combine chewing, food-searching and play with the GURU Busy Ball, Medium/Large. Load suitable kibble into the toy and let your dog move the ball to dispense food during supervised exploration. Made with Chew Perfect™ and ChewPro™, it is designed for enthusiastic chewers, but no toy is indestructible. It offers an engaging activity, not a treatment for separation anxiety or a reason to leave your dog unattended with the toy.
Key Features
Move the Ball to Dispense Kibble
Once loaded, moving the ball releases kibble, encouraging your dog to explore and work for food rewards. Choose suitable dry kibble that can pass through the dispenser openings without forcing it in.
Chew Perfect™ and ChewPro™ Materials
GURU lists both Chew Perfect™ and ChewPro™ for this toy. The brand describes Chew Perfect™ as a non-toxic wood-and-nylon chew material and ChewPro™ as a non-toxic, custom-formulated TPR. These are toy materials, not edible ingredients.
Designed for Power Chewers, Not Indestructible
The Busy Ball is positioned for dogs that enjoy vigorous chewing, combining chewing and interactive food play. Durability does not guarantee suitability for every dog or resistance to all damage; regular inspection remains essential.
Engagement Without an Anxiety-Treatment Promise
Supervised foraging can give your dog an activity to focus on. The toy does not diagnose, prevent or treat separation anxiety, and should not replace a veterinary or qualified behaviour professional’s care plan.
Medium/Large Size and Smooth Design
Medium/Large is the listed size designation. The brand describes a design without sharp edges or points, but wear can change the surface. Choose by mouth size and chewing style, and keep checking for rough or damaged areas.
Usage Instructions
- Inspect the ball before use and choose according to your dog’s mouth size and chewing behaviour. The brand’s up-to-85-lb guide does not replace an individual fit and safety check.
- Follow the product’s filling instructions and add a small amount of suitable dry kibble. Check that food can dispense without blocking the openings.
- Offer on a clean, safe surface and let your dog move the ball under close supervision. Start with an easy session and help your dog explore; stop if your dog becomes distressed, frustrated or starts damaging the toy.
- Count dispensed food towards the daily food allowance. After each session, remove remaining food, inspect the toy and put it away.
- Do not leave the toy with your dog when you go out. If your dog shows persistent distress when left alone, seek veterinary or qualified behaviour advice rather than relying on the toy alone.
Safety
- For supervised use only. No dog toy is indestructible. Power-chewer marketing does not mean chew-proof or safe for unattended use.
- Discard the toy immediately if damaged. Stop use for cracks, loose material, sharp or rough surfaces, or damage around the dispensing openings.
- The toy is not edible. Do not allow your dog to swallow detached Chew Perfect™, ChewPro™ or other toy material; only suitable food placed inside is intended to be eaten.
- Do not offer a toy your dog could swallow. The up-to-85-lb recommendation is a sizing guide, not a guarantee for every dog of that weight; assess mouth size, strength and chewing style.
- Stop for mouth bleeding, pain or reluctance to chew. If any toy part is swallowed or your dog shows choking, repeated vomiting or other concerning signs, contact your veterinarian promptly. For dental disease or repeated damage to hard toys, ask about a more suitable option.
- Keep the toy and packaging away from children and unsupervised pets. Use food that fits your dog’s dietary requirements.
Care & Cleaning
- The product page’s plastic-toy guidance is to hand wash or use the dishwasher’s top rack for more thorough cleaning. Follow the actual product’s care label.
- Remove leftover food and crumbs after each session, especially around the dispensing openings. Rinse away cleaning residue and allow the toy to dry fully before refilling or storing.
- Inspect after cleaning and discard a damaged toy. Store out of reach of children and pets between sessions.
