GURU Spin & Treat Stick Dog Toy (Medium)
Product Overview
Combine treat-dispensing play with chewing in the GURU Spin & Treat Stick, Medium. Load the spinning barrel with suitable dry kibble: as your dog plays, it rotates and releases food. Once the kibble is gone, the bacon-scented Chew Perfect™ ends provide another way to engage with the toy. Designed for serious chewers, but not indestructible, it should be used only under supervision and sized appropriately for your dog.
Key Features
Spinning Kibble Dispenser
The central barrel spins and dispenses kibble as your dog plays, combining food rewards with exploration. Choose food that passes through the dispenser easily, without forcing oversized pieces into the openings.
Chew Perfect™ Chewable Ends
The ends use Chew Perfect™, described by GURU as a non-toxic nylon-and-wood chew material. They are chew-toy components, not edible treats; do not allow your dog to swallow detached material.
Bacon Flavour and Scent
The chewable ends have bacon flavouring or scent to add sensory interest. This describes the toy’s flavour or aroma, not a food serving or a guarantee of pork-free or allergy-safe composition.
Smooth Design, with Ongoing Inspection
The brand describes a design without sharp edges or points. Check the surface during use: chewing and wear can change its condition, so this is not a guarantee against gum or tooth injury.
Medium Size for Appropriately Sized Dogs
Medium measures 7.25 × 2.4 × 2.4 inches (L × W × H). GURU recommends it for dogs up to 60 lb, but size and chewing style still need individual assessment. The range also offers Large; this listing is for Medium only.
Usage Instructions
- Inspect the toy before use and choose according to your dog’s mouth size and chewing behaviour, not body weight alone. Do not use a toy your dog could swallow.
- Load suitable dry kibble according to the product’s filling instructions. Start with a small amount, check that food can dispense, then let your dog explore under close supervision.
- The barrel releases kibble as it spins during play. After the food is gone, your dog may engage with the designated chewable ends, provided they remain intact and appropriate for your dog.
- Count dispensed food towards your dog’s daily allowance. Stop the session if your dog becomes frustrated, tries to swallow the toy or damages it; remove remaining food and clean the toy afterwards.
Safety
- For supervised use only. No dog toy is indestructible. A serious-chewer design is not a promise that every dog can use it safely or that it will resist all damage.
- Discard the toy immediately if damaged. Stop use for cracks, loose material, sharp or rough edges, or damage to the spinning barrel or chewable ends.
- The nylon-and-wood ends and dispenser are not edible. Do not allow ingestion of detached pieces, and do not treat the bacon flavour as permission to eat the toy.
- The Medium recommendation of up to 60 lb is a sizing guide, not a safety guarantee. If your dog has dental disease, vulnerable teeth or repeatedly damages hard toys, ask your veterinarian about a more appropriate option.
- Stop use for mouth bleeding, pain or reluctance to chew. If any toy part is swallowed, or your dog shows choking, repeated vomiting or other concerning signs, contact your veterinarian promptly.
- Keep the toy and packaging away from children and unsupervised pets. Only offer kibble or treats suitable for your dog’s dietary needs.
Care & Cleaning
- The product page’s plastic-toy guidance is to hand wash or use the dishwasher’s top rack for more thorough cleaning. Follow the care directions on your exact product.
- Remove uneaten kibble and crumbs after each session, paying attention to the dispenser openings and spinning barrel. Rinse away any cleaning residue and allow the toy to dry fully before refilling or storing.
- Inspect the barrel and chewable ends after cleaning. Discard a damaged toy rather than returning it to use; store out of children’s and pets’ reach between sessions.
