TDG - Freeze-Dried Japanese Anchovy
Product Overview
A single-ingredient freeze-dried anchovy treat for dogs and cats. The anchovy originates from Japan, is processed in Vietnam and is made into the finished product in Singapore. Available in 30 g, 50 g and 170 g sizes for a fish-based reward or meal topper.
Key Features & Potential Benefits
Brain & Everyday Cognitive Nutrition
Anchovy is an oily-fish ingredient that naturally contains marine omega-3 fats. DHA plays a role in normal brain and nervous-system nutrition. Offer this fish treat as dietary variety alongside your pet’s complete meals, rather than expecting a guaranteed improvement in learning or memory.
Animal Protein & Taurine Nutrition
Made with a single fish ingredient, with crude protein listed at a minimum of 66%. Protein provides amino acids for maintaining and renewing body tissues. Cats also require adequate dietary taurine; this treat does not replace a complete diet that meets that requirement.
Skin & Coat Nutrition
Dietary fats and essential fatty acids form part of normal skin and coat nutrition. Anchovy adds a fish-based option to the treat routine, alongside the balanced nutrients supplied by your pet’s main diet.
Joint & Normal Inflammatory-Response Nutrition
Marine omega-3 fats, including EPA and DHA, are involved in inflammatory-response pathways. This treat is not a substitute for prescribed joint care or veterinarian-directed fish-oil supplementation. Pets with joint pain or stiffness should be assessed by a veterinarian.
Heart & Immune Nutrition
Adequate protein supports body-tissue maintenance and normal immune processes. Taurine is particularly important for normal heart function in cats. Serve this treat in small amounts with a complete, balanced diet; it is not intended to prevent or treat heart disease.
Usage Instructions
- Offer as a treat, training reward or meal topper, with portions adjusted to your pet’s size.
- Introduce gradually and monitor digestive tolerance.
- Break into smaller, manageable pieces for small dogs and cats.
- It may also be rehydrated with fresh drinking water for a softer texture. Serve promptly after rehydration.
- Treats should make up no more than 10% of your pet’s daily calorie intake. Reduce the day’s main meal accordingly.
- Always provide fresh drinking water.
Safety
- Always supervise your pet while feeding. Never leave your pet unattended with treats.
- This is a treat for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. It is not a complete food and does not replace a balanced diet.
- It is not a fish-oil or taurine supplement, nor a treatment for cognitive, skin, joint or heart conditions.
- For puppies or kittens, check suitability with your veterinarian before feeding.
- If your pet has a health condition, a fish sensitivity or is on a prescription diet, please consult your veterinarian before feeding. Do not feed to pets with a known fish allergy.
- Each pet’s health condition and feeding routine are different, so individual responses may vary.
- Wash hands after handling. Discontinue use if any adverse reaction occurs.
Care & Cleaning
- Follow the storage instructions and expiry date on the packaging, including any after-opening requirements.
- Keep the dry product sealed between uses and away from moisture and direct sunlight.
- After rehydration, serve promptly and discard uneaten leftovers. Clean bowls and utensils after use.
